  2. Check the drive

    Gears, belt or chain, and the trolley, where a straining or spinning motor usually traces back to.

  3. Check the board and force

    Logic board, remotes, and the up and down force settings that make a door stop short or reverse.

  4. Check the door itself

    A heavy, out-of-balance door burns out a healthy opener, so we test the springs and balance too.
