Garage Door Cable & Roller Repair in Westchester County, NY
Tap to call · (203) 866-1000The cables and rollers are what keep your door tracking straight and moving smoothly. When a cable frays or a roller wears out, the door can bind, jump the track, or hang crooked, and forcing it makes the damage worse fast. We put it right and check the whole system so it does not come back.
If your door has come off its track, leave it where it is and call. Running the opener against it bends the tracks and can snap a cable.
Cables, rollers, and off-track doors
- Doors that have jumped or come off the track
- Frayed, rusted, or snapped lift cables
- Worn, cracked, or noisy rollers that make the door drag
- Bent or loose track that keeps the door from sealing
- Doors hanging crooked or catching as they travel
- A full system check so it does not come right back
Salt air is hard on hardware here
Close to Long Island Sound, the damp salt air is tough on cables, rollers, and track. Steel cables rust from the inside where you cannot see it, and rollers seize up sooner than they would inland.
We replace the worn parts, realign the track, and lubricate the system so the door runs quiet again. Because an off-track door often starts with a broken spring, and a dragging door strains the opener, we check all three before we call it done.

Common questions
My door came off its track. Can I still use it?
Please do not. An off-track door can drop or jam, and running the opener against it bends the tracks and can snap a cable. Leave it where it is and call us. Most off-track doors go right back on the same visit.
Why do cables fray or snap?
Cables wear where they wind on the drum, and they rust from the inside in damp, salt-air garages near the Sound. A frayed cable is a warning. It is far cheaper to swap a worn cable than to fix a door that has already fallen.
Let’s get that door working again.
